Living the best life with brain injury.

About the Neuro-Wellness Program

SLI’s Neuro-Wellness program is a comprehensive and holistic approach to meet the unique needs of people living with acquired brain injury. The Neuro-Wellness program approaches the brain and body as integrated and inseparable, and offer complementing physical, cognitive and social fitness programs to improve abilities impacted by brain injury.

Neuro-Wellness Classes

At SLI, we aim to keep our residents happy and engaged in meaningful activities. The following are examples of some of the classes we offer in three sessions each year (winter/spring, summer, and fall).

Yoga
A certified yoga instructor leads a relaxing class in meditation, stretching, and mobility (modified to chair to accommodate all abilities).

Horticulture
Enjoy year-round indoor and outdoor gardening and other plant-based activities. Come get your hands dirty!

Drumming
Instructed by a professional percussion instructor from Berklee College of Music, the class explores new rhythms and drumming techniques in a lively environment.

Social Activities
Engage in social activities such as cooking to promote healthier eating, art to boost creativity, cognitive exercises to stimulate the mind, and other fun classes and events!

All Neuro-Wellness activities require pre-registration and fees vary depending on the classes attended.
